If you have been following the Amanda Bynes story then it’s clear to see Amanda is not addicted to drugs but sadly struggling with a possible mental/chemistry imbalance.

Her parents on right on track as far as demanding a psychiatric evaluation versus rehab.

Amanda has been suffering from hearing voices, she even thought there were tracking devices in smoke detectors in her family home and would place sheets over them.

The 27-year-old first began showing symptoms in her late teens.

As previously reported by RadarOnline, Rick and Lynn Bynes had been desperate to get a conservatorship for their daughter, but were told they’d be unsuccessful because the former child actress didn’t meet the strict criteria.

“They were advised that even as disturbing as Amanda’s behavior is, it’s very unlikely that a judge would sign off on a temporary conservatorship,” said a source.

“Conservatorships are very hard to get and being mentally ill and addicted to drugs isn’t enough. Amanda hasn’t ever been to rehab or ever agreed to see a mental health professional. Her parents are absolutely powerless to do anything at this point.”

When Bynes parents tried to help her months ago,” she bolted from Los Angeles and moved to New York,” leaving them worried sick about her.

Meanwhile, the scandal-plagued star just “doesn’t think she has anything wrong with her. She refuses to see a psychiatrist and says everyone is just out to get her!”
