Charlie Sheen has been formally charged with felony menacing and two misdemeanors: 3rd degree assault and criminal mischief, in connection with his alleged Christmas Day assault on third wife Brooke Mueller, who was also present for the hearing.

Mueller told police that Sheen threatened to killer her and held a knife to her throat as their argument escalated. Both had been drinking and had alcohol in their bodies at 8:30 am.

On Monday, lawyers for the couple requested that Judge James Boyd relax the protective order that prohibits any contact between them. That request was granted with the provision that Sheen stays away from owning or handling any firearms and does not consume alcohol.

Sources report Charlie is terrified Brooke will help prosecutors put him behind bars and Team Sheen has communicated that if that scenario unfolds Mueller will lose a lot of money, because she has a restrictive prenuptial agreement.

What a couple of losers!!

Seriously, all that money and good they could do with their lives and they end up like this. Their poor kids.
