Gossiping about Jessica Simpson sexually wasn’t the only stupid thing John Mayer did. “I thought he was stupid for breaking up with me,” Simpson, 29, said on ABC’s The View on Monday morning.
Asked if she’s spoken to Mayer, 32, since he likened her to “sexual napalm in a Playboy interview,” Simpson said she hadn’t, and then added with a laugh: “And he’ll never have this napalm again.”
The singer and actress, whose new show The Price of Beauty premieres Monday night on VH1, says she’s still feeling the effects of Mayer’s comments. “I’ll walk into a restaurant or something, and I notice that more men are looking at me, but I feel like they’re undressing me,” she says. “So, it’s a little bit embarrassing.”
Simpson was also asked by the ladies if she would date a regular guy – a plumber, say – after her string of celebrity attachments.
“Absolutely, bring it on! I always need a plumber!” she joked.
Simpson also said she “can’t wait” to have children, and added: “If I don’t have kids by the time I’m 40, my best friend [and stylist] Ken Paves and I are going to have children.” (Still, that’s a decade away.)
