Shia LaBeouf wasn’t with his Oscar-nomiated girlfriend at Sunday night’s Academy Awards, but they were seen together the next day in Sherman Oaks. Shia and Carey Mulligan can also been seen together in the film “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” next month.

Lovebirds Katy Perry and Russell Brand are wasting no time when it comes to building their lovenest. They bought this 3.25 million dollar, 4 bedroom, 4 and a half bath house in Los Angeles to call home. The gated house is modern and has rolling green lawns, a pool and there’s even a teepee in the back yard. The couple is having the time of their life shopping for modern furnishings and art for their new place to call home.

Back together and very happy Nick Lachey and his love Vanessa Minnillo made a big commitment together. They adopted a dog!

At a party in Los Angeles honoring the new documentary “Hungry in America” Sunday night, Lachey told PEOPLE that he and his girlfriend adopted the pup earlier that day. “Now that I say it on record I’m going to have to keep him,” he joked.

The 1-year-old Siberian husky, named Kona, was on display at a roadside adoption event in Los Angeles. “I was driving down Ventura and we saw rescue dogs on the side of the road,” he explained. “Vanessa was with me — I don’t make those kind of decisions alone anymore — but since I grew up with a husky, I couldn’t resist.” 

Calling huskies “independent” and “stubborn by nature,” Lachey said they’re harder dogs to train “because they can be aloof. They need a lot of exercise, but once you let them know that you’re the alpha male, they’re very loyal, great dogs.” 

So now that the couple has this new pet, who’s going to be the stricter parent? “It’s too early to tell,” laughed Lachey.

How fun! Kona will surely bring much joy to this beautiful couple!

And now for the ring please…  Simon Cowell’s new fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy is wearing a dazzler of an engagement ring. We’re sure Simon spared no expense. This is only the tip of the iceberg.  We can’t wait to see the wedding, and all the future gifts Simon will shower his love with!

The Bachelor, Jason Mensick tied the knot with Molly Malaney on Saturday at the lavish new Terranea Resort just south of L.A. in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

Approximately 300 guests, including Trista and Ryan Sutter, the first Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants to marry, attended the ceremony. They saw the bride resplendent in a $45,000 Monique Lhuillier gown and heard former American Idol contestant Jason Castro sing Over the Rainbow. Following the wedding, the guests went into the resort’s lavishly decorated ballroom illuminated by thousands of candles for a sit down dinner and dancing.
