Dakota Fanning And Kristen Stewart At “The Runaways” Premier

Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart are making the rounds for the promotion of their new film “The Runaways.”  The two had a blast working on the movie about the 70’s rock group featuring Joan Jett, The Runaways.  The movie premier brought out Dakota, Kristen, Taylor Lautner, Michael Shannon, Scout Taylor-Compton and of course, Joan Jett.
Kristen said, “I think Dakota was more emotional than I was, to be honest with you.”  Remembering the day she had to cut her hair for the movie, Kristen said Dakota almost cried. (!)
Dakota said, “I did… I almost cried…  For some weird reason, I had an attachment to Kristen’s hair. But [her new look] was amazing, and it was what she wanted. It’s not my hair!”
Dakota and Kristen both sing in the film and for the soundtrack, and you might be surprised how good they are!
The film hits limited theaters March 19th, and will be everywhere April 9th.

**Movie Trailer** ‘Suck’

Here’s a B-movie if ever there were one.  The film called “Suck” is about a struggling rock band that rockets to success once all the members become vampires. (!!)  It’s been playing at festivals since last year, but still has no release date.  It’s got a cool supporting cast that includes Alice Cooper, Alex Lifeson (RUSH guitarist), Henry Rollins and Moby.

**Movie Trailer** ‘Our Family Wedding’

“Our marriage, their wedding.” It’s lesson number one for any newly engaged couple, and Lucia (America Ferrera) and Marcus (Lance Gross) are no exception. In Fox Searchlight Pictures’ ‘Our Family Wedding’ they learn the hard way that the path to saying “I do” can be rife with familial strife. When they return from college and too suddenly announce their marriage plans, they soon discover that their fathers–two highly competitive over-the-top egos – can wreak a major amount of havoc on their special day.

With insults flying and tempers running high, it’s anyone’s guess if the alpha dads (Forest Whitaker and Carlos Mencia) will survive to make it down the aisle in one piece. Lucia’s mother (Diana Maria Riva) is busy planning the wedding of “her” dreams and the only levelheaded one in the bunch is Angela (Regina King), the groom’s father’s best friend and lawyer, who manages to keep her cool when the madness reaches a crescendo.

With only weeks to plan their wedding, Lucia and Marcus soon discover the true meaning of love and find there is truth to the saying–that when you marry someone, you marry their entire family.

12 Secrets Of Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland marks the seven collaboration of actor Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton. Here are some interesting facts regarding the film that you probably don’t know.
1.In a very weird coincidence, Tim Burton’s office has a connection with the 1907 edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. English book illustrator Arthur Rackham did the color plates for that book and he used to own the building where Burton’s office in London is located.
2.Johnny Depp created watercolor paintings of how he envisioned the Mad Hatter. Because they’re so in sync, Depp’s drawings were similar to Burton’s vision of the character.
3.In this take on the classic tale, Depp and Burton used the Mad Hatter’s makeup and wardrobe to visually convey the mood swings caused by mercury poisoning. Many hatters of the period suffered from the condition due to the chemicals used in hat-making.
4.5′4″ 20 year old Australian actress Mia Wasikowska goes from being six inches tall to 20′ tall throughout the film. According to Disney, Burton attempted to create the effect by using practical methods whenever possible. At times Wasikowska stood on an apple box to help her appear taller.
5.Anne Hathaway didn’t want the White Queen to come across as completely pure. She decided the White Queen is a “punk rock vegan pacifist” and says she was inspired by Blondie, Greta Garbo, Dan Flavin and Norma Desmond.
6.British actor Matt Lucas had the difficult task of playing both Tweedledum and Tweedledee in Alice in Wonderland. He couldn’t split himself in half, so when there needed to be two Tweedles, Ethan Cohen stepped in to play one or the other. However, Disney says Cohen will never appear in the film.
7.Crispin Glover really lost his head over the role of Stayne, the Knave of Hearts. His head’s all we’ll see of Glover in the actual film as the rest of Stayne is totally computer generated. That said, Glover needed to wear stilts in order to appear taller and, after twisting his ankle, Burton had stuntmen following Glover around in case he fell. These stuntmen all had to wear green so they wouldn’t appear on screen.
8.Burton’s offscreen partner, Helena Bonham Carter, had to sit through three hours of makeup every day in order to get into character as the Red Queen. In post-production Bonham Carter’s head was enlarged to make her look more imposing – and big-headed. A 4K hi-def camera was used to shoot Bonham Carter’s scenes and then her head was blown up to twice its actual size.
9.What’s a Futterwacken? Disney has released this official definition: “The term used to describe the Underlanders’ dance of unbridled joy.”
Cardboard cut outs, models, and men in green with “eyes stuck to various parts of the anatomy” helped the actors figure out exactly where to look in scenes.
10.Most of the sets were created digitally, according to Disney.
Lewis Carroll’s real name was Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson.
