By the looks of this picture being canned by Melrose Place is no big deal. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will be hittin up Broadway as Roxy and now has the black hair to match the part.

Big sis Jessica Simpson took to her Twitter to let everyone know her thoughts on Melrose Place and it’s writers.
In case you didn’t know Jessica’s sis Ashlee Simpson-Wentz was canned from the show just recently.
Anyway..Jessica goes on to Tweet the following:
“CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?”
“i have had bad scripts to work with,but this? thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press.”
We are guessing there will be no more promotion of Melrose Place on Jessica’s Twitter anytime soon.
IT is always easy to say something is crap after you have been fired but in this case we would have to agree..Melrose Place is crap!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield have been fired and will have their last episodes in January.
We are not sure of the real reason for Ashlee’s departure but Producer Todd Slavkin had this to say:
What was behind the decision to let Ashlee and Colin go?
“Well, we always knew that this murder mystery would end in episode 12. And we always knew that Ashlee’s character of Violet would be instrumental in that as a suspect, and Colin’s character of Augie as well. And once that murder mystery was solved, she would go on her way. That was the original plan going into the development of the show”.
So it was always the plan for Ashlee to leave after episode 12?
“Yes”. “Because we felt that once the murder mystery was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift into a much more fun, romantic, sexy upbeat kind of show, and her character would move on”.
Is it fair to say that if either of those characters clicked you would’ve found a way to keep them?
“Well, you never know when you go along. But in the end, we felt like it was right decision”.
How did Ashlee and Colin take the news?
“They’re total professionals and they took it like professionals. When you go into a show you never know what’s going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time that leaving was a possibility, it wasn’t a complete shock”.
Wow…If you have seen Melrose Place you would probably agree…Ashlee should stick to singing. No disrespect.
Everyone was out for the CW & AT&T’s “Melrose Place” premiere party on Melrose Place in Los Angeles on Saturday! Ashlee Simpson was in attendance and rocked a red and white patterned mini dress as she partied with a star-studded guest list including Jenna Dewan, Jessica Stroup, Katie Cassidy, Erik Fellows, Laura Leighton, and Jessica Lucas, among many others.
You can check out the new Melrose Place on Tuesday, September 8th for it’s premier.
We are holding out that Heather Locklear will be added to the cast as well…Now that would be GOOD!
