First Look: Rihanna In ‘Battleship’

Say goodbye to the red hair! Today we have the first photos of singer Rihanna on the set of the upcoming $200 million “Battleship” movie, based on the popular Hasbro board game.

The new movie takes place across the seas, over the skies and land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force. It stars Taylor Kitsch (Wolverine) as a naval officer who leads the fight. Alexander Skarsgard (“True Blood”) will play his brother.

“Battleship” is directed by Peter Berg (Hancock) and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 18th, 2012.

Rihanna Gets Waxed In D.C.

Rihanna is now immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds. The stylish body double of the songstress was unveiled at the museum’s Washington D.C. location this morning with many eager fans waiting. Clad in a black lace corset, fitted jacket, pants and black silk heels, the sleek look-a-like figure was modeled after the outfit that Rihanna wore to French design house Balmain’s show during Paris Fashion Week last October. In a nod to the singer’s signature rocker-glam style, Madame Tussauds outfitted the chic figure with a large glittering pin, sparkling gold-and-diamond ring, giant diamond earrings and tennis bracelet.

The wax figure looks amazing! Congratulations are in order!

Rihanna Gets A New Tattoo, Meanwhile Beau Matt Kemp Has Got Some Issues

Rihanna is creating buzz centered around her new tattoo.

The singer was caught leaving her New York City hotel Tuesday with the words “Rebelle Fleur” written across the left side her neck.

“Rebelle Fleur” means “Rebel Flower” in French.

Rihanna has up to 15 tattoos in total, including an arrangement of stars on the back her neck.

In related news: We’re starting to wonder about her beau Matt. Nekkid pics were just released of the ball player in some compromising positions.

Hopefully Rihanna is ‘smart’ with this one and keeps her eyes wide open.

Rihanna Is Planning Katy Perry’s Bachelorette Party!!

Rihanna is planning the bachelorette party of fellow pop star and very good friend Katy Perry, who is engaged to British actor and comedian Russell Brand and who the “California Gurls” singer says will make a “perfect” father if and when the two decide to have children.

“It’s taking up way more time than my tour,” Rihanna told the Access Hollywood show recently. “It’s so much pressure. Her wedding is probably going to be the best wedding I’ve ever been to and now I have to match the bachelorette party to that.”

“I could have balloons and Disney characters there and she’ll still make it wild,” said the R&B and pop star, who is in the middle of her “Last Girl on Earth” tour. “That’s just Katy Perry. There’s no way around that with her.”

You know this party is gonna be fantastic with these two! We can’t wait!!

It’s summer and love is in the air.

Rihanna’s heated romance with Dodger Matt Kemp continues to blossom – today they were shopping for new Iphones together at AT&T’s store in Westwood. It’s great seeing Rihanna all smiles.

Rihanna has been embroiled in a controversy after a Barbadian minister gifted her a free piece of real estate while poor residents struggle to cope nearby.

The Umbrella hitmaker was gifted a plot in the upmarket area of Apes Hill by Minister of Housing and Lands Michael Lashley as a token of gratitude for boosting international interest in the Caribbean island nation.

However, Government Minister Gline Clarke has lambasted the decision – insisting a rich pop star has no right to garner free land while other Barbadians live in poverty, reports dailystar.co.uk

“Why is the government paying millions of dollars for land for someone who’s already making millions?” he asked.

Hopefully Rihanna will donate the land to those in need. Very bizarre indeed.

Rihanna is looking fierce as ever on the July cover of “Elle” magazine. In it, she talks about her new love, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp. She has nothing but praise for Matt, “I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”

Rihanna also reflects on where she was a year ago with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. She says that fateful night that he beat her, left her feeling “confused.” She states, “Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives, not only our friendship but our lives.”
